Benefits of painting in the winter

Palatine Paints provide a wide range of paints for all types of uses, whether it's for home use or for industrial & agricultural there is something to suit everyone. Now that summer is over, it's seems like a good time to outline the benefits of painting items in the winter now we're subject to a temperature change, especially if you're hoping to do up interior spaces. Whilst it is generally accepted that exterior painting is best left for the warmer months, here are some facts about interior winter painting:
  • It's much less hassle to hire a contractor. Because so many people tend to hire them in the summer to work on exterior projects because it stays lighter for longer - contractors will have no problem working inside a property from 9-5.
  • Fumes from paint will be less problematic. When the weather is sticky and humid, dangerous and unpleasant fumes from the paint are much, much more prevalent. Not so much in the winter when an open window is bringing cool, fresh air  into your home.
  • Winter weather makes the job easier: Another negative aspect of humidity is that it means that paint takes longer to dry which will hold up and have a long lasting negative effect on your other projects.
  • You'll have more time to enjoy the summer. If you have the interior painting sorted in your home when it comes to the summer you'll be able to aim exclusively on projects like decking and fence painting.
