Professional printing services for your business

A business can promote it's services through advertising such as flyers, brochures, leaflets, business cards, posters and banners to target their customers. This is something that we all know and understand, usually we are inundated with flyers when we're out shopping in the town centres and usually everywhere you look there is a banner or poster promoting a business or service.

Now if a business wants to give the impression that it is professional and delivers a quality service then the image and brand has to be spot on. For example if I was looking for an accountant and I happened to pick up a handful of business cards, I would expect them to look professional and smart, any that looked anything less I would toss in the bin. The same goes if I was handed a load of flyers for different salons, I would choose the one that looks the best.

Now we know this is how many people work and tick, first impressions go along way. So if you want your business to stand out from the competitors and to give your customers a great impression then you need high quality printing. High quality printing will mirror your company image and brand as well as enhancing your business.

CNUK Print in Manchester provide a bespoke printing service to businesses so you can tailor your business cards, banners, brochures etc so they are unique to you, they are informal to your customers as well as helping to sell your brand by giving the impression you are professional and you deliver quality.

CNUK Print offer tailored printing, a design service and a free consultation. Below are some fine examples of what they have achieved for previous customers:

Residential Key Holding and Alarm Response

Have you ever been burgled or experienced an attempted burglary? It's a horrifying experience for anyone to go through and the trouble is it tends to stick with you. I have been burgled myself, so I know first hand what it feels like, you become paranoid, checking every door, window and lock in the house, constantly on edge and never wanting to be alone in your own home.

Two days after my house was burgled, my Nan and Grandad were also burgled who live down the road from me. After the telling the police who advised us it was very unlikely they would catch the burglar, we decided to take action ourselves by ensuring our homes were protected and safe so this never happens again.

All the locks were changed and fitted with new and more secure locks, padlocks were put on the gates and flood lights were installed in the gardens. We also decided that the best and most effective solution would be an alarm with a response so when the alarm is triggered by an intruder it would notify a security firm who comes out to the property to make sure everything is okay, this is called Key Holding and Alarm Response.

We thought, especially for my Nan and Grandad who are in their 90's it would be the best course of action. My Nan and Grandad feel much more relaxed and calm in their home knowing if anyone ever breaks in again they are faced with a rapid security response team.

Our alarms are both monitored by Uniqwin who are extremely efficient, reliable and trustworthy. Their Residential Key Holding and Alarm Response service includes:

  • Short and Long term agreements
  • Peace of mind knowing you will never be called out of work and everything is being taken care of by security professionals
  • 24/7 cover and a full response report is left at your premises if they are ever called out
  • They are fully insured for any risks that may occur and can provide all documents at your request
  • Keys to your alarm are stored in a secure environment that only yourself and them have access to.
  • Monitored by vehicle tracker
  • Accredited by the Security Industry Authority as Approved Contractors
I would recommend Residential Key Holding and Alarm Response to anyone but particularly the elderly and vulnerable. If you require this security service from Uniqwin please visit: www.uniqwin.co.uk

Travel Tips for Thailand

If you have never had the pleasure of exploring the stunning, tropical and breathtaking Thailand then you'll be surprised to find there are a number of important tips you need to know before you go!

No matter where you go in the world you have people trying to con you into buying from them, especially when you're a tourist. Locals know you have money to spend and your uneducated on their world, hence the reason you find yourself being ripped off with practically everything. Do not let this put you off, it happens everywhere even in the UK, but you can avoid it if you know how. Here are some of my tips:

Taxis and Tuk Tuk's

Taxi's tend to be one of the worst in Thailand for ripping people off so ask them to put on the meter, if they refuse just find yourself another taxi. Tuk Tuk's are also renowned for it too, however they don't have a meter so barter with them and make sure they do not over charge you. Ask for a price before you get in, if it's too high find another.

Visiting Temples

If you're visiting the temples and palaces remember to cover up, they find it highly disrespectful to show your arms and legs. Obviously the weather is glorious and much too hot to wear jumpers or trousers so I would recommend a long skirt for the ladies and long linen pants or shorts for the men. A light cardigan, long sleeved top or shall will do to cover your arms, you can pick one up from the many markets stalls for next to nothing.

Hostels

If you're backpacking or traveling on a budget and you will be staying over in hostels then use your own padlock. Most hostels are safe but there are some that can be quite frightening and notorious for thieves. Hostels offer their own lockers with padlocks which are fine to use but I recommend you use your own padlock not theirs. Also try and research the hostels prior to your stay and check out the reviews to make sure its okay.

Trains and Buses

When getting around Thailand use the trains and buses as much as possible, they're fantastically cheap, easy to use and usually clean. You may find merchants trying to flog you train packages, try and avoid these as much as possible and purchase your tickets directly from the train or bus station.

Cash

If you're using your bank card, draw as much money out from the ATM at one time as possible to avoid high ATM charges. A travel card would be better and you can carry this around with you where ever you go, just make sure its in a safe and secure place.

So they're my tips of how to stay safe and how to dodge the con men! Here are some interesting tips just for your nohow:

Best times to go Thailand

November to February - Sunny season
May to October - rain season but more affordable
March to May - sunny and affordable

                                                                        Basic Thai

In Thailand it is custom that men end their sentences in Krap and females end their sentences in Ka.

Hello - Sawasdee (Krap) or (Ka)
Thank you - Knob Khun (Krap) or (Ka)

How are you? - Sabai dee mai (Krap) or (Ka)?
Sorry - Khor toat (Krap) or (Ka)

Thinking about going? My best advice is stop thinking and just go! Visit www.eshores.co.uk for some fantastic multi centre holiday offers and great itinerary ideas.

Protect your home | Crime Prevenation Tips from Uniqwin

Having your home burgled is a horrible experience, it can result in large financial costs and emotional devastation.

It's no surprise that burglars target urban areas as there is less chance of getting caught but also the more wealthier areas because that's where the money is. So the question is, is anyone safe from burglars? Well everybody is a target but you can reduce your risk by carrying out a range of measures and precautions, here we have put together a guide to follow so you can feel more safe in your home:

Lights - Put timers on your lights so when you're not home it looks like somebody is in. Lights, the television or radio will scare off burglars. Also having extra flood lights installed in your garden is a great way to deter intruders.

Car Keys- Don't leave your car keys in full view of your neighbourhood. Burglars will roam up and down looking for the right house to target and you leaving your keys in the window will give them an easy ride.

Windows and locks - Check all windows and doors to make sure they are fully secure. If you feel your door could be busted open with a power kick, then it can be! If you can double lock your doors and windows great, if not use extra locks to protect them further.

Intruder alarms - Always set your alarm before you leave and make sure it is working. If you haven't got an alarm you should consider one, or a off-site monitored alarm which are surprisingly cheap these days and can be monitored for less then 50p a day.

Valuables - Do not leave your valuables in full view, again burglars look for easy targets and what they can steal. Leaving your valuables in the window gives them a heads up you have money and there is something worth robbing. Keep them in a safe or secured box hidden away.

Curtains - Close your curtains in the evening so the burglars cant see what you have.

Telephone answer machine - If you have a message on your answer phone implying you are out, again its an easy ride for the burglars. Amend your message to imply you are in but busy and unable to answer the phone.

We hope at Uniqwin these tips have been useful to you, however if you require any further measures we are able to provide a range of domestic security services. Please visit www.uniqwin.co.uk

A Masterclass in Project Management | Business Training

Many of us will have been involved in organising or managing an event, even if it only involved arranging the guest list and tables, you have still played a fundamental role. Managing projects doesn't necessarily have to be managing an event, it could be a project in work like managing a new development of houses or maybe its for a project among your community, whatever project you are managing its important you know how to and you do it right.

There are lots of factors to consider in project management, three specific points to be exact which is the project life cycle, initiation, planning and implementation. Now if somebody had said to me I need to focus on those three key points I really wouldn't know where to begin. This is why I took a course to help me, I knew I would need project management at some point again so it would make sense to get an understanding, experience and some knowledge on how it works and how to effectively manage a project whether it's big or small.

My project was to organise a fundraiser for the charity Claire House, each team member had specific role given to them which was determined through doing a Belbin's Team Profile. So the role that was given to me was Project Manager which I was quite overwhelmed with considering that is the most important job of all.

The project actually went really well considering not one of us had any experience before, but after the event we all came to together to analyse how well it went and what could have been done to improve it. In the conclusion we all agreed that sufficient training would be the best solution next time instead of going in "blind".

There are many Project Management courses out there that can give you all the pointers and knowledge you need for your next project. One I would like to recommend is A Masterclass in Project Management from Courtney Associates who deliver business training courses in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Birmingham.

Courtney Associates also deliver a wide range of business training courses for individual learners and bespoke training programmes for employers and their employees. Please visit www.courtney-associates.co.uk for more information and to enquire about any course.
