Acne Treatments at Re-Enhance Clinic

Acne is caused by the body’s immune system creating an inflammatory response to bacteria that lives in the skin called P.acnes. Many people suffer from Acne at some point in their lives and try many different treatments and techniques to clear their skin. Re-Enhance Clinic offer a range of treatments for sufferers. A selection are outlined below.

Lustre Pure Light

Lustre Pure Light harnesses the safe, natural blue part of the visible light spectrum and uses clinically proven technology to eliminate spot-causing bacteria, while also being gentle on skin.
Lustre Pure Light is a small, rechargeable product with slim, flexible therapy heads which target problem areas. The device is portable and treatment is delivered while the product is worn, so you are free to get on with the things you want to get on with.
Scientists have found that the blue light which is emitted from this product is a safer watt to use light to help clear up acne, than spending time in sunshine, which many people claims helps to clear their acne.

Smartxide Fractional CO2 Laser

The Smartxide Fractional CO2 Laser, is laser technology that provides a skin re-surfacing treatments for a variety of skin problems including,
Wrinkles
Poor texture
Large skin pores
Sun damage
Sun spots
Brown spots
Acne scars
Surgical scars
Traumatic scars
Melasma
Uneven pigmentation
Stretch marks

It works by causing a tightening of the skin which reduces blemishes and softens irregularities and scarring. It also stimulates collagen production, giving the skin a younger plumper look and feel.
Usually clients will require 1-3 treatments over a 4-6 week period.

Superficial Facial Peels

Chemical peels are used to reduce fine wrinkles, scars and blemishes by using a chemical exfoliating solution. This helps peel away the outer layers of the skin, thereby allowing new skin to regenerate.

They vary in strength by the acid solution used for the peel and how deeply it will affect the skin. The three most common groups of facial peels are, Superficial Peels, Medium Depth Peels and Deep Peels.

Superficial peels normally use a naturally occurring acid found in fruits called glycolic acid. These are the mildest chemical peels and are excellent for improving a fresher, younger look with a reduction in skin imperfections such as acne or damaged skin. If you are looking for a more substantial effect, you may wish to consider a Medium Depth or Deep Facial Peel.

The treatment is quick and easy. The face is cleansed and then the peel is painted onto your face and left for between two and ten minutes. The peel is then washed and neutralised. There are no after-effect and you can return to your normal daily life. To maintain the effect it is recommended that you repeat the treatment every four to six weeks.
