Carp Fishing in Northern France

Attention all fishers in the UK & Europe... we would like to inform you about the new carp fishing lake in Northern France (just 2 and a half hours from Calais)

Lac Bernard is an exclusive carp fishing lake with great accommodation facilities and is set to open in April 2016. The lake is owned by British owners who have spent almost 3 years bringing this lake up to the outstanding standards it is now, with only a few pegs and final adjustments to be made before the first opening season in April.

The Lake

The lake itself is roughly 5.75 acres of water which is suitable for a maximum of 4 anglers with the choice of 5 swims. Varied depths from 5 to 14 feet throughout and with a gravel/silt bottom. To ensure optimum potential for catching the stunning carp fish, pegs 1 to 5 have been placed on the same side of the lake with water straight at the front and to either side which also provides a fair opportunity for each angler.

The Accommodation

The cabin is located at peg 2 which features a large decking platform and shelter looking out over the lake and offering spectacular views. Within the cabin there is a modern kitchenette, gas stove, sink, fridge, tables, chairs, lovely wood stove and power supply for basic facilities plus recharging. At the back of the cabin you have a clean and tidy toilet and a shower.

Lac Bernard can accommodate up to 4 vehicles and the whole perimeter is fenced and secure. You can gain access to the lake through and cabin through a private track off the main road.

The Fish

Before the lake was re-owned by new owners a Parisian family purchased and stocked the lake with 100 carp fish, a mix of Common, Grass and Mirror between 15lb and 20lb. These fish haven't been touched and have typically flourished and the now owners of Lac Bernard have told us they have managed to tip their scales to 33lb, so they can guarantee there are plenty of fantastic surprises within the lake.
