Hygiene Scale and Polish - Re-Enhance Dental Clinic

We all want beautiful white, healthy teeth. However, our diets and activities can make this hard to achieve. Re-Enhance Dental Clinic offer a variety of treatments to give you that perfect white smile you dream of. One of these is their Hygiene Scale and Polish treatment.

Everyday activities such as smoking, drinking and eating can cause a build up of plaque and tartar that can be unpleasant to see. Calcium deposits from the saliva in your mouth can also cause a negative build up of calcium that stick to your teeth. This may begin as unnoticeable but later cause your teeth to turn brown and black in colour. Re-Enhance Dental Clinic can remove this build up with dental cleaning treatments.

There are several stages to dental teeth cleaning. Initially there will be a thorough examination of your gums and teeth. After that several stages will happen including, showing you where plaque and tartar collects, demonstrate to you what you can do to improve things, remove the plaque and tartar from your teeth, polish your teeth, apply a high fluoride paste to keep your teeth in the best possible condition and arrange a suitable follow up.

During this treatment specialised instruments will be used to gently remove harmful bacteria without causing any damage to your teeth.

Almost all patients find the whole treatment painless. Many say how they enjoy the cleaning and the smooth feeling of their teeth after the treatment.

Brush Before Bed - Take Care of Your Teeth | Re-Enhance Dental

We are all guilty of forgetting to brush our teeth before bed now and again, or even brushing and then having a snack. Either way doing this can be really bad for your teeth and gums. Brushing before bed is said by many dentists to be just as and, in some cases, more important than brushing when you wake up.

The time that you are asleep is the time when oral bacteria thrives the most. It goes completely undisturbed for hours. As soon as you finish brushing your teeth at any time of day, a small amount of bacteria remains in the mouth and immediately begins regrowth.

Not only that but brushing twice a day considerably reduces 'morning breath' and bad breath over all. Look at it this way, if you didn't put leftovers in the fridge and left them out in the kitchen over night, they are going to smell considerably worse. However your mouth has far more active bacteria than your kitchen (I should hope!)

One of the biggest factors that should encourage you to brush at least twice a day is money. Yes, you will be spending twice as much on tooth paste, but that's nothing in comparison to how much you'll save on your dental bills. Expect far less trips to your dentist if you're taking better care of your teeth. Not brushing at night is a cavity waiting to happen.
