Styling your half head wig | KoKo Couture

When you wear extensions, you can often suffer from not being able to get involved in trending hairstyles. Sometimes it can be hard to find a style which doesn't give away that you're wearing extensions or a wig. So Koko have put together a few quick and easy styles - perfect for summer, perfect for your half head wig.

All of these looks are quick, easy and effective. The first look - pop your wig in  as usual and let your hair fall naturally, leaving a layer over the wig to cover any clips. take a section of hair that goes a few cementers back from either side of your forehead and gather the hair in-between. Gently back-comb this section of hair to your preference and secure it with some hair pins. You might want to use larger back-combing for party looks.

The second look is great for summer & festivals. However you can achieve this look using a range of accessories. I particularly like this look as its almost effortless! Leave your hair with it's natural wave of curls and add your wig, allow your hair to simply fall where it may, this is great for the bo-ho summer look. Add an accessory of your choice, such as a cute artificial flower hair band, and off you go!

The third look is handy for still looking glam despite it being 'hair wash day'. This look pulls all your hair away from the face, which will make your face stand out. Simply add your wig, part your hair to your choosing (personally I like to use a side parting for day and middle for night). take a section of hair that goes back by about an inch beside your temples. Pull the hair towards the back of your head and add a few twists. Secure with hair pins. Assure you leave a fine layer of hair to cover your clips too. Ta-da!

The last look is great for making a statement, you could also add accessories to turn it into an evening style. Add your wig as usual and part your hair in the centre. Take a section of hair from each side that goes back about as far as your thumbs (a few inches) and straighten these sections, pulling them in towards the face to shape it. Take another section about the same size from the top back section of the hair and do the same again. Back-comb this section to your preference and you're looking flawless and ready to go!

So there you have it, say goodbye to one look wonders and make the most of your extensions. Don't have your half head wig yet? Take a look at Koko couture's hair pieces and find the look for you - http://www.kokocouture.co.uk/hair
