It is becoming more and more popular across the UK that defibrillators are being installed in workplaces and public venues including office suites, shopping malls, sports venues and children's centres.
Currently North West Ambulance services have launched "Shoctober" to find the hidden defibrillators that have been installed across the area that people are unaware of. Find out more about "Shoctober" here.
Trained personnel can administer de-fibrillation at a very early stage meaning that a life can be saved from a short training course should the unfortunate situation of a cardiac arrest occur.
The course is available for 8 people each year and lasts for 3 hours and will be valid for a year.
