Industrial Paints from Palatine

Palatine Paints are a Leigh based shop that also has an e-commerce site with a wide selection of products that offer particular benefits for use on industrial projects of all types. They have been in the industry for decades and has always delivered a top quality service to all customers - every year they develop and improve their special own brand of paints that's had the benefit of years of work. Furthermore they also sell paints from all the top brands such as Ronseal and Leyland trade that too offer top quality results for your projects.

Here are just a few of the industrial paints that are offered at excellent prices:

Fast Dry Primers: Primers are, quite simply an essential item to use when you're working on wood paints. This is because wood has the ability to quickly absorb paint, leaving you with extremely poor results that quickly chip and look unsatisfactory. Primers set the perfect base for overlaying paints which will improve the finished product significantly.

Fast drying top coat: For that extra layer of added protection, fast drying top coats make sure that the original paint coating has a solid barrier against the effects of chipping and adverse weather etc. Air drying top coats also form a similar function and are completely see through.

Bitumen paint: Ideal for many different applications, the aim of bitumen paint is to offer an anti corrosive solution for use on items such as steel, cladding, roofing and concrete.

Palatine Paints | Painting Tips For Home

Palatine are paint manufacturers and suppliers that have extensive experience in the industry (65 years), offering a wide selection of outstanding products both home manufactured and from the top quality brands that you're familiar with. Everything from equipment to primers, industrial floor paint, undercoats, overcoats, barn paints and so much more.

If you're unsure about what makes the best painting project, we've compiled this handy list of tips that will ensure that your project looks fantastic - whatever it may be. Whether it's DIY at home or industrial projects and agricultural barn conversions then Palatine has something for all requirements.

1) The best results are only possible with the best preparation. It's important that the surface you're painting on is as smooth as possible, this ensures that the application of the paint has very few imperfections. Sandpaper is very cheap and will prove important in removing any bumps and rough patches.

2) Tinted primer for better results. Without primer paint applied prior to the actual paint, you'll often get dull looking walls because the joint compound sucks the moisture from the paint. If you use primer paint that is similar to the original, you won't need to worry about this.

3) Struggling to paint over textured surfaces? Even the pro's do. If you're trying (and fighting!) to get a straight line on your textured wall, simply create a small ridge with a screwdriver by running it down in a straight line. Then the bristles of your brush will be able to stop at a certain point.

4) Protect your floor. It's fair to say that the majority of people simply use bedsheets to protect their floor when decorating walls, it seems like the most logical solution but it isn't the most effective. Bed sheets are not very good at stopping spilt paint from going through the fabric. Canvas drop cloths are far more effective.

5) Avoid running. By pushing the paint slowly across corners and trips you'll avoid the paint dripping onto other items.
