Being able to keep yourself and others safe in the workplace is of great importance. Whether it is making sure the lead for the kettle is hanging over the worktop or helping a choking colleague, knowing what to do is extremely important. In the next couple of week PassPoint are putting on a variety of courses.
They are doing a Level 2 Health and Safety in the workplace course. This course is aimed at all employees who are already in work or are preparing to start or return to work after a break. This qualification aims to teach all learners that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, its contractors, visitors and suppliers. They are also doing  a Level 2 Food Safety course. This course is for anyone who handles food, teaching them that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food. The subjects covered are regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to ensure good practice and the production of safe food. It covers the following areas and costs £70,

Finally they are also doing a Level 3 First Aid in the workplace. This is a re-qualification and the learners must already hold a Level 3 First Aid in the workplace certificate. This is a 2 day course and is designed for anyone wanting to become an accredited first aider. It covers these areas of first aid and costs £120,
