Anti Wrinkle Injections from Re-Enhance Clinic

As time goes on so does our youth and sadly we begin to see lines and wrinkles made from smiles, frowns and laughter when our muscles contract, which become worse with smoking and sun damage. Anti-Wrinkle injections, more commonly known as Botox® is a treatment used to combat lines and wrinkles when they appear on the face as well as providing future prevention. Re-Enhance Skin and Body Clinic Hale, offers Botox for those who want to reduce their lines and wrinkles that come with age.

Anti-Wrinkle injections use a drug called Botulinum toxin which is where we get the name Botox from, this drug relaxes the over active muscles in the face which cause your wrinkles and lines. Re-Enhance Clinic insert very fine needles into the muscles which put them to sleep temporarily for a period of up to 6 months. The treatments aim is to break the habit of frowning and squinting which will reduce the appearance of the lines and also help to reduce the further development of future facial lines.

What Are The Results?
You will notice the effects usually 2-3 days after the treatment with maximum effects visible 7-10 days after. Typically the treatment lasts from around 3-6 months but with ongoing treatment the effects can last much longer.

How Does Clostridium Botulinum Work?
A number of muscle relaxing drugs are available under different trade names and are based upon a purified form of the organism called Clostridium botulinum. These drugs rest the muscles that cause wrinkles, reducing the appearance of frown lines, forehead lines and crows feet.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?
Clostridium botulinum muscle relaxing injections are not recommended during pregnancy or breast feeding. It is also not recommended these for anyone with a neuromuscular disorder.

What To Expect During Treatment.
The drug is injected into the specific muscle which is to be “relaxed”. A member of the Re-Enhance team will determine which muscle should be treated in your consultation to give the best and most effective result.
Very rarely do patients report any pain as only a tiny needle is used, however some may find a very minor but temporary pain and slight discomfort from the needle but the treatment itself will only takes a few minutes. Any minor redness and swelling near the injection sites will normally disappear after an hour or so.
These drugs are very safe. And although there is a possible temporary side effect which causes drooping of the eyelid, this is very rare and it is a temporary side effect and will usually fade within 2-3 weeks.
