Do the companies bidding for the work hold suitable accreditation?

Yes all contractors will have one or more registrations under the Lloyds NERS, WIRS, GIRS and MURS scheme. Their registration details can be checked on the Lloyds website www.lloydsregister.co.uk

Bid For The Project - Uprocure

Uprocure allows contractors to bid for projects they would like to work on by uploading a quote for the project. Uprocure works by allowing developers to upload their projects for contractors to view and bid for. There are three stages for contractors during this process.

Firstly, contractors are able to view different projects based on their search criteria. These projects are emailed to contractors from Uprocure. These emails alert contractors that a new project has been submitted and it matches what the contractor is able to offer.

Secondly, contractors can submit their quote. During this stage they are able to view the ranking of their quote and also be alerted when a bid has been revised by a competitor. This allows you to review and change your quote in order to try and secure the project.

Finally the developers receive the bids and choose the best offer for them. If your bid is chosen, you will receive your order.

This is an extremely useful way for developers to receive quotes as it allows them to get the best deal in a simple way without researching and contacting numerous contractors.

Multi Utility Connections for Developers

When a property is developed, the gas, electricity and watersupplies have to be considered. Uprocure Utility Procurement allow this to be an easy and simple process for developers, allowing contractors to bid for their custom, rather than the developers making many enquiries and deciding between a number of quotes from over a period of time.

Developers need to only submit their project to uprocure’s website and receive their bids from various contractors, before selecting the bid that is most appropriate to them. This method allows developers to spend more time doing other work on their project(s) rather than researching quotes and offers from companies, making the overall process of development quicker.

The contractors look at the various projects and choose the ones they would like to bid for. Making an offer they hope the developers cannot refuse, allowing them to win the business.

It is a competitive market with some developers having contractors they always use and some looking for the best offer they can find. If that sounds like you, then follow the three easy steps on uprocure’s website and see what you’re offered.
